We provide free neuro-support groups, therapy grants, and community care for Kenyan children living with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, autism, and other neurological challenges.
We connect families to speech, occupational, and physical therapy — and help cover sessions through our donor network. From Nairobi to rural counties, our therapy grants reduce waiting times and bring specialists closer to home.
We fight for inclusive education, disability rights, and better healthcare policies for neurodiverse children in Kenya. Our voices have reached county assemblies and national task forces.
Monthly meetups across Kenya. Share experiences, learn from each other, and build a village. We foster peer support in Swahili, Luo, Kikuyu, and English.

I am Maureen Sharon Awino, the founder of Neuro Kids Warriors, and my journey is rooted in love, resilience, and an unshakable belief that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. My advocacy is deeply rooted in lived experience as a mother of a child with spina bifida, which fuels my passion for supporting children and empowering caregivers—especially mothers. I choose to turn that path into purpose—advocating, educating, and creating spaces where children are not defined by limitations but celebrated for who they are. Through my work, I strive to give hope to parents, dignity to every child, and a voice to those too often overlooked, because together, we can build a more inclusive and compassionate Africa where no child is left behind.
