"The Fight to Give Every Neurodiverse Child a Voice."

I am Maureen Sharon Awino, the founder of Neuro Kids Warriors, and my journey is rooted in love, resilience, and an unshakable belief that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. My advocacy is deeply rooted in lived experience as a mother of a child with spina bifida, which fuels my passion for supporting children and empowering caregivers—especially mothers. I choose to turn that path into purpose—advocating, educating, and creating spaces where children are not defined by limitations but celebrated for who they are. Through my work, I strive to give hope to parents, dignity to every child, and a voice to those too often overlooked, because together, we can build a more inclusive and compassionate Africa where no child is left behind.
